Job summary

ErinoakKids Center for Treatment and Development in Brampton is seeking Registered Practical Nurses (casual) to support children and young adults with medical and behavioural complexity within our Respite Program. This on-site role offers a compensation range of $31.64–$37.03 per hour with weekend requirements.

The successful candidate will review and implement care plans, document medical records, provide direct clinical care, train respite staff, and follow infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Practical Nursing is required.
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Previous pediatric nursing experience.
• Experience with children with physical and developmental disabilities.
• Experience with children and youth with challenging behaviors.
• Current CPR and First Aid and CPI certificate preferred.
• Excellent nursing assessment and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

ErinoakKids is currently seeking energetic Registered Practical Nurses to support children and young adults with medical and/or behavioural complexity within our Respite Program. Successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and work towards supporting clients as they participate in daily living activities.

Schedule Requirements

• Minimum 1 shift per month separate from trainings and meetings;
• Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required;
• Other mandatory paid meetings and paid trainings asrequired based on meeting and training schedule.

Key Responsibilities
