University Health Network in Toronto is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the West Park Healthcare unit (2C - Stroke/Neuro) on a 0.4 FTE permanent part-time basis. You will provide compassionate, collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team, aligned with UHN standards and the Professional Practice Model.

The role involves mentoring students and new staff, participating in care planning, and supporting patient safety and quality initiatives. Closing date: September 23, 2026.

Qualifications

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Participate in inter-professional team care planning forums, inter-professional rounds and family conferences.
• Provide mentorship to RPN students and new staff on the unit.
• Participate in professional, program and hospital-wide initiatives, including professional development of self.
• Compliance with patient safety responsibilities and hospital plans, policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.

Job Summary

As a member of a multi-disciplinary Team, the Registered Practical Nurse practices in accordance with relevant legislation/standards, the UHN Professional Practice Model and the mission and vision of nursing at the UHN to provide compassionate, collaborative and competent care, while meeting the legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
