Job summary

NorWest Community Health Centres is seeking a Casual Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our clinical team at the Thunder Bay site. The successful candidate will provide clinical care, health promotion, illness prevention, and chronic disease management within a community health centre setting.

Working in an interdisciplinary environment, you will support client-centred care and may participate in HOOPP pension plans. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• RPN with current registration and membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to provide clinical care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
• Demonstrated assessment skills to identify and respond to physical, mental health, and psychosocial needs of clients.
• Knowledge of evidence-informed primary care practices with focus on health promotion, illness prevention, and harm reduction.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
• Sensitivity to health needs of individuals facing barriers to care (2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, uninsured, etc.).
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

One of a network of provincial Community Health Centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.

We are currently seeking1 Casual Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our clinical team. Working within a client-centred, interdisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will provide clinical care, health promotion, illness prevention, and chronic disease management services to clients within a Community Health Centre setting.

The position has a competitive salary, and the opportunity to participate in the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).

The pay range for this position is $29.182 to $35.157 per hour. Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
