Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Bradford, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for an existing vacancy. The role offers a competitive hourly rate ($28.42–$32.04) with benefits as per the collective agreement.

You will provide nursing care, supervise support staff, and contribute to residents’ comfort and dignity in a home-like setting. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will collaborate with the care team, help assess resident needs, and support families while upholding Sienna’s

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and/or senior health is an asset.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada or valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents.

What you’ll be doing:

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
