Job summary

Join Sienna Senior Living's Creemore community as a Registered Practical Nurse. You will provide nursing and personal care to residents in accordance with policy, physician orders, and each resident's plan of care, within your scope as an RPN/LPN.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will supervise the care team, oversee admissions and change in status, communicate with residents and families, and ensure a welcoming, respectful environment that supports comfort and dignity for seniors.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent care and personal support.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care with regular communication to residents and families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Assist with admission, readmission, status changes, and ongoing resident assessment.

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
