Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for Deerwood Creek Community in Etobicoke. The role reports to the Director of Care and focuses on delivering high-quality nursing and personal care to residents in a supportive team environment.

The position requires current RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses; geriatrics or rehab experience is a plus, with eligibility to work in Canada. Competitive salary, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Ability to identify risk, exercise sound judgment, and foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or hold a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, orders, and resident care plans within RPN/LPN scope.
• Ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care using best practices.
• Create a welcoming, supportive environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care with ongoing communication to residents and families; guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Admission, readmission, status changes, and ongoing resident assessments.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
