WeeCare in Toronto, ON is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse to join our in-home care team. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, client-centered care to pediatric clients in the home setting, helping families maintain comfort and safety.

You will work Thursday and Friday nights 21:00–07:00, with responsibilities including tube care, seizure care, medication administration per CNO standards, and diligent documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 21:00–07:00

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management
• Provide seizure care and management
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Experience working with pediatric clients
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
