Job summary

Hawkesbury and District General Hospital is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Operating Room. The role involves delivering high-quality, timely care in a fast-paced OR, applying clinical judgment, and working with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold CNO registration (or eligible), CPR/ACLS/PALS, and have OR and med-surg experience. Ontario-based applicants preferred; transfer of license via CNO is welcome. Excellent benefits and a defined pension plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligible for registration).
• Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 6 months OR experience (last 2 years).
• Minimum of 2 years med-surg experience.

IN TERMS OF ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE, YOUR APPLICATION WILL STAND OUT FROM THE REST IF YOU HAVE:

• A certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (or proof that you are eligible for registration), as well as a current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications;
• Recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 6 months recent clinical experience (during the last 2 years) in the Operating Room
• Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience on a med-surg unit.
