What we are looking for:

As a Registered Practical Nurse in the Childbirth and Children’s Centre, you will be part of a healthcare team that promotes patient/family-centered care and involves patients in decision-making.

You will provide care for mothers and their newborns in Antepartum and Postpartum settings.

What you bring to the role:
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses.
  • Minimum one year experience in maternal child care.
  • Current neonatal resuscitation (N.R.P.) certification.
  • Completion of Perinatal/Obstetrics course (preferred).
  • Current Fetal Health Surveillance certification.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • A breastfeeding course or a commitment to complete one within 3 months of employment.
  • Completion of the Medication Administration certification.
  • RPNAO membership (preferred).
  • Excellent physical assessment skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient/family-centered care.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team and independently.
  • Well-developed organizational, communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership experience.
  • Good attendance and performance records.
  • Commitment to a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to policies and legislation.
Work Schedule:

12-hour shifts, days and nights (0730-1930 and 1930-0730). Schedules may change due to operational needs.

Compensation:

CU10 Range: $36.81 - $38.16
