Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) in Brantford, Ontario, invites Registered Practical Nurses with at least two years of acute care experience to apply for a unique opportunity. This role offers full sponsorship to complete the Acute Care Nursing Certificate through Michener Institute, followed by a transition into the Critical Care Unit (CCU).

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Current minimum of two (2) years acute care nursing experience
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Competencies
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certificate preferred or willing to obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or willing to obtained within 6 months of employment
  • High Acuity Nursing Certificate, or comparable certificate preferred or willing to obtained within 6 months of employment
  • Able to perform venipuncture, 12/15 Lead ECG (or obtain within orientation to unit
  • Meditech experience an asset
  • Member of RPNO an asset
