Brant Community Healthcare System in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking an experienced operating room nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the OR program and support multiple surgical specialties. You will work as scrub or circulating nurse for orthopedic, urology, gynecology and general procedures.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active registration in Ontario, and current BCLS; ACLS/CPN(c) are preferred.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Completion of Perioperative Nursing Certification.
• Current operating room experience preferred.
• I.V. starts and venipuncture ability.
• ACLS certification (preferred).
• CPN(c) (preferred).

Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Operating Room, PACU and Day Surgery, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the operating room program and must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Completion of Perioperative Nursing Certification
• Current operating room experience preferred
• Able to perform I.V. starts and venipuncture
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
• CPN(c) (preferred)
