Registered Practical Nurse, Colposcopy Clinic - 1 position

Location: Colposcopy Clinic, St. Joseph's Hospital - London, ON
Employment Type: Part Time
Salary Range: $38.80 - $39.19 /hour

An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Practical Nurse to provide services within the Colposcopy clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital as part of a collaborative interprofessional team.

This specialized area of ambulatory care provides evaluation and treatment services for women with abnormal pap smears. The RPN will support physicians during colposcopy exams and provide optimal patient care before, during, and after each procedure. Responsibilities also include assisting with laboratory data entry and cytology/pathology specimen collection and labeling.

The Colposcopy clinic is a fast-paced environment requiring the RPN to prioritize tasks and patients effectively, collaborate with an interprofessional team, and communicate clearly with colleagues.

Essential Qualifications

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Valid CPR certificate
• Successful completion of a nursing competency test
• Proficiency and experience in pharmacology and medication administration
• Knowledge of conditions and pathology related to Women's Health
• Understanding of a Safety Culture in a Healthcare Setting in compliance with OHSA
• Ability to work within the full scope of practice
• Excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and workload prioritization
• Commitment to professional development

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in French (an asset)
• Recent (within last 2 years) experience in an ambulatory clinic setting, preferably Women's Health
• Ability to work within an interprofessional team
