Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for their Creedom Valley Community in Creemore, Ontario. You will provide nursing care to residents, follow care plans, and work closely with an experienced team to ensure comfort and dignity in daily living.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will assess residents, coordinate care, and supervise support staff while maintaining a compassionate, resident-centered approach and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics is an asset.
• Ability to follow physician orders and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, and the resident plan of care.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care following sound nursing practices.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care and communicate with residents and their families, guiding staff as needed.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions, status changes, and ongoing resident assessments.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
