Thrive Group is hiring a Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for the Bethany Residence program in Burlington. The role focuses on nursing care for adults with disabilities and seniors, within a supportive, accessible organization recognized for workplace excellence.

Formación

• Completion of vocational program for licensed practical nurses (LPN).
• Must have completed Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and hold Ontario RN Certificate of Competence.
• Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.
• Experience with persons with disabilities or seniors is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication; professional demeanor.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting/transfers).
• Health & safety and first aid certification is an asset.

Bethany Residence provides accommodation and support to adults experiencing cognitive difficulties, impairments or mental health needs. Experience working in the mental health field is considered an asset.

Position Summary

Monitor the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities, seniors, and individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Provide nursing services within defined scope of practice. Monitor the building to ensure the security and safety of clients, staff and guests; and take appropriate action in an emergency situation.

Requirements

• Completion of a vocational, college or other approved program for licensed practical nurses and registration with a regulatory body required.
• Must have successfully completed the Canadian Practical Nurses Registration Examination and possess a current Registered Nursing Certificate of Competence for the Province of Ontario.
• Knowledge of Behaviour Strategies is an asset.
• Experience as an RPN working with persons with a disability and the senior population is an asset.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must demonstrate the ability to use tact and discretion and display professionalism at all times; demonstrate sound judgement and flexibility and be able to solve problems effectively.
• Certification in health and safety and first aid is considered an asset.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job such as lifting and transferring of residents.

Job Type

Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Time

Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and every other weekend. Could include some evenings.**

Starting Wage

$29.88 - $32.18
