Join to apply for the REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE role at Southbridge Care Homes

Location: Port Perry, Ontario

Position: Registered Practical Nurse, Full Time, 75 hours bi-weekly

Responsibilities
  1. Providing exceptional resident care following protocols and physicians’ orders.
  2. Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and initiating health measures as needed.
  3. Organizing and directing care activities for residents.
  4. Assisting in managing nursing and personal care staff.
  5. Training and developing new staff, and referring concerns to the Director of Care.
Qualifications
  1. Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  2. A compassionate heart and passion for senior care.
  3. Eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  4. Experience in long-term care is an asset.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with a big-picture perspective.
