The Registered Practical Nurse plays a vital role within our communities, impacting residents' lives and fostering human connection.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing nursing care according to established policies, physician’s orders, resident care plans, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
2. Creating a safe, comfortable environment that respects privacy, dignity, independence, and personal lifestyles.
3. Collaborating with team members, monitoring resident care, communicating with residents and families, and guiding Personal Support Workers and other team members.
4. Liaising with medical professionals to support effective clinical care.
5. Demonstrating professional knowledge of all nursing equipment used in care delivery.
6. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

• Diploma in Practical Nursing.
• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Successful completion of RAI MDS certification annually, as per Ministry of Health requirements.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check.

Bonus Points for:

• At least one year of experience in Geriatric, Rehabilitation, Retirement, or Long Term Care as an RPN.
