Halton Healthcare in Ontario is seeking a registered nurse to care for chronic and acute hemodialysis patients. Responsibilities include initiating and discontinuing dialysis, preparing machines, accessing venous lines, monitoring treatments, and providing patient teaching.
The role requires current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, BLS certification, experience with acute dialysis, strong assessment and documentation skills, and the ability to work under pressure on rotating
Care of chronic and acute hemodialysis patients. Involves patient teaching. Initiation and discontinuation of dialysis, preparation of dialysis, preparation of dialysis machines, accessing venous accesses and central lines, monitoring of dialysis treatments, troubleshooting, acute dialysis in ICU, primary nursing follow-up of chronic patients. Other duties as required.
Hours: Mon - Sun, various rotating 7.5 hour shifts, 0700-1500, 1430-2230, 0900-1700 (Weekends only)
Salary: $36.08 to $39.02 per hour
