We seek an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical pharmacy team. Our goal is to provide a fulfilling career with industry perks, team support, ongoing education, and work-life balance.

Role Overview

The Registered Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for:

  1. Medication Management:
  • Adhering to ACP standards of practice related to pharmacy duties
  • Accepting new prescriptions and gathering patient information
  • Preparing prescriptions (new and refills)
  • Maintaining computerized patient records
  • Assisting pharmacists in assessing patient needs
  • Verifying prescriptions for completeness and authenticity
  • Documenting prescription changes with prescriber authorization
  • Performing final checks on prescriptions
  • Ensuring correct medication dispensing
  • Managing inventory levels
  • Assisting with medication compounding, including calculations and documentation
  • Supervising and checking team members' work
  • Preparing compounded medications accurately
  • Maintaining clean and functional dispensing equipment
  • Assigning appropriate beyond-use dates for compounded drugs
  • Final verification of compounded medications for quality and accuracy
  1. Customer Service:
  • Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Notifying pharmacists of vital information and alerts
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Updating patient records as needed
  • Supervising staff involved in compounding
  • Handling refill requests in person and by phone
  • Keeping the pharmacy area clean and organized
Role Qualifications
  • Must have compounding experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program recognized by ACP
  • Proficiency in Kroll software
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Proficient in complex compounding
  • Organized with multi-tasking skills
