Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our clinical pharmacy team. Our pharmacy prides itself on personalized care and a supportive environment that fosters growth.

Role Objectives

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Medication Management:

• Adhere to ACP standards regarding pharmacy duties
• Accept new prescriptions and gather patient information
• Prepare prescriptions (new or refills)
• Create and maintain computerized patient records
• Assist pharmacists in assessing patient needs
• Verify prescription completeness and authenticity
• Document prescription changes with prescriber approval
• Perform final checks on prescriptions
• Ensure correct prescriptions are dispensed
• Manage inventory stock and ordering
• Assist in medication compounding, including calculations and documentation
• Supervise and check work of other team members
• Prepare compounded medications accurately
• Maintain equipment and workspace cleanliness
• Assign beyond-use dates based on reputable sources
• Verify compounded drugs for accuracy and labeling

Customer Service:

• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
• Report vital information to pharmacists
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Update patient records as needed
• Supervise compounding staff
• Manage refill requests
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean and organized

Role Qualifications

• Must have compounding experience
• Graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program recognized by ACP
• Proficient in Kroll software
• Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive and detail-oriented
• Excellent phone etiquette
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
