Job summary

Central Pharmacy Services, a division of Loblaw Companies Limited, seeks a part-time Registered Pharmacy Technician for weekend and weekday coverage at our Richmond Hill site. You will verify prescriptions, operate blister-packaging equipment, and prepare medications while maintaining inventory and adhering to SOPs.

Training is provided in a high-volume, patient‑focused environment, with benefits and licensing support potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of continuous work experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy environment is preferred
• Experience with high-volume filling environments is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and stand for portions of the shift

Responsibilities

• Conduct product verification on all compliance packs to ensure accuracy and completeness of prescription orders prior to delivery
• Operate and maintain the Vandenbrink Blister Packaging Machine (VBM) used to generate weekly compliance packs
• Verify compliance packs using the VBM Software
• Prepare and package medications
• Ensure proper stock levels and inventory management
• Adhere to SOPs for storage, handling, and return to stock procedures
• Support a diverse workplace with inclusive practices

Shift: Sunday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM and 1-2 Weekday Shifts

Location: Unit 5 - 100 East Beaver Creek, Richmond Hill, Ontario, L4B 1J6

The successful candidate will be required to work 6:00am to 2:00pm on Sundays and one to two weekday shifts. Initial weeks of training will require candidate to be available additional days during the week (6:00am-2:00pm) until the candidate is trained in all duties of the role.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct product verification on all compliance packs prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of all prescription orders prior to delivery
• Operate and maintain the Vandenbrink Blister Packaging Machine® (VBM) used to generate and produce weekly compliance packs for SDM stores
• Verify compliance packs using the Vandenbrink Blister Packaging Machine® (VBM) Software
• Prepare and package medications
• Verify each package quickly and accuratelyPrepare compliance packs for delivery
• Ensure proper stock levels and inventory Management
• Ensure proper storage, handling, disposal of drugs and return to stock procedure in accordance with SOPs
• Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What You Bring

• A minimum of 1 year of continuous work experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital or Retail) is an asset
• Experience with high volume filling environments an asset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Teammate and leadership skills
• Must be able to complete work with minimum supervision
