Loblaw Companies Limited is hiring a Full-time Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) at our Central Pharmacy Services in Mississauga, Ontario. This role requires dispensing accuracy, adherence to legal requirements, and strong patient-facing skills.

You will join a high-volume pharmacy environment, support prescription processing, and help maintain confidentiality and quality standards while working with PacMed or PacVision tools. Bilingual English/French is a valued asset.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT).
• Liability insurance to legally practice as an RPhT.
• Experience in a pharmacy environment (1+ year) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of prepared medication and check prescriptions for compliance and quality.
• Make corrections when needed and ensure proper packaging.
• Count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled meds.
• Maintain efficient workflow and timely delivery of prescriptions.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality as required by law.
• Stay aligned with regulations and workplace policies.
• Collaborate with team to promote inclusiveness.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for ensuring accuracy of prepared medication by checking each prescription and ensuring legal compliance and product quality. This includes weekly strip packaged medications, compliance packages and all non-packaged products
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate corrections are completed when identified
• Accurately count and reconcile Narcotic and Controlled medications
• Responsible for checking products in an organized and efficient manner to maintain workflow and ensure delivery routes leave at their scheduled times
• Patient privacy and confidentiality is protected in accordance with regulations
• Keep current with and align with legal requirements, professional standards, and where provided, workplace policies and procedures
• Commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging

What You Bring

• Licensed and registered with the College of Pharmacists as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT), in good standing
• Liability insurance to legally practice as a RPhT
• A minimum of 1 year of continuous working experience in a pharmacy environment (Long Term Care, Hospital, or Retail)
• Experience with high volume filling environments is preferred
• Experience working with PacMed or PacVision is an asset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Complete work with minimal supervisionTeammate and Leadership skills
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
