Job summary

Pocketpills is seeking a detail oriented, professional Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Surrey team. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing in compliance with BC College of Pharmacists regulations.

The role involves final product checks, packaging system validation, supervising staff, onboarding new Pharmacy Technician, and improving dispensing accuracy and workflow.

Qualifications

• BC Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
• 6 months of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset.
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written with a high level of attention to detail.
• Need to have strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple duties, and meet deadlines efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Completing final product checks.
• Completing product validation checks for automated packaging systems.
• Abiding by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities per relevant College of Pharmacists.
• Completing other duties in an effort to improve dispensing accuracy and speed, manage Pharmacy layouts, and improve the overall Pharmacy.

Position:

We are seeking a detail oriented, professional Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient medication dispensing in compliance with BC College of Pharmacists regulations.

Job Duties:

• Completing final product checks
• Completing product validation checks for automated packaging systems
• Abiding by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities per relevant College of Pharmacists
• Completing other duties in an effort to improve dispensing accuracy and speed, manage Pharmacy layouts, and improve the overall Pharmacy.
• Prioritizing accuracy while maintaining a consistent pace.
• Onboard and train new Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Assistant employee.
• Supervise other staff, including Pharmacy Assistants.
• Provide guidance on the best course of action in problem solving patient orders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 6 months of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician is an asset.
• Valid BC Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written with a high level of attention to detail
• Need to have strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple duties, and meet deadlines efficiently.
• ATP packaging experience will be considered an asset
• Ability to provide feedback and work well in a fast-paced, team environment.

The annual compensation is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and alignment to the market.

Full time - 40 hours per week

Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00 pm
