Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support a group of long-term care homes and retirement communities in Burnaby. The role emphasizes safe drug distribution, accuracy in compounding checks, and final verification processes within a non-retail, clinical pharmacy environment.

You will work with the Staff Pharmacist to prepare, package and distribute prescriptions, ensuring completeness and authenticity, and maintaining confidentiality across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.
• Other duties as assigned

CareRx is looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. What You Will Bring to The Team

• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred

Compensation Range: $33 - $36/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.

Location: This is on-site role at our Burnaby location at 8525 Commerce Crt and follows a five-day work week with participation in on-call rotation for weekends.
