Job summary

Mint Health + Drugs in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacist-led team. You will support prescription processing, verify accuracy, conduct independent final checks, and help with compounding and patient care.

The ideal candidate will complete a CCAPP-accredited training, hold an active RPhT license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists, and demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with Kroll.

  • Maintain medication inventory and records, including narcotics and third-party billing.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting Mint's commitment to exceptional service, operational excellence, and a positive experience for patients, customers, and team members.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Prescription Processing: Receive, transcribe, and verify the technical accuracy of new and refill prescriptions.
  • Independent Final Check: Conduct final checks of prepared prescriptions to ensure accuracy before dispensing.
  • Compounding: Prepare non-sterile (ointments, liquids) and sterile (intravenous injections, chemotherapy) medications.
  • Patient Care: Gather medication histories, administer injections (where authorized), and teach patients how to use medical devices like inhalers or glucometers.
  • Inventory & Records: Maintain medication inventory, manage narcotic and controlled substance records, and process third-party billing.

  • Education: Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • Must be actively licensed as an RPhT with the Alberta College of Pharmacists

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
