Job summary

Headwaters Health Care Centre in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Obstetrics Department for a temporary full-time role. You will provide general and specialized nursing care, support labour and delivery, and uphold professional standards within the obstetrics team.

The position requires current Ontario RN registration, obstetrics experience, and NRP certification. The assignment is about 8 months long with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Recent obstetrics experience including labour and delivery.
• Fetal Health Surveillance training completed within the last 2 years.
• Maternal Newborn Nursing Certificate either completed or in progress (preferred).
• Breastfeeding course (INFACT/WHO, 20 hours) completed or in progress.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification required.
• Current STABLE certification preferred.
• Good attendance and performance records.

Responsibilities

• The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within the Obstetrics Department.
• The Registered Nurse is accountable and responsible for general and specialized nursing duties and daily work assignments per CN Ontario standards and corporate care standards.

Position Responsibilities

The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within the Obstetrics Department.

The Registered Nurse is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis according to the standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario, and approved standards of care of the Corporation.

• Recent experience in obstetrics including labour and delivery
• Fetal Health Surveillance in Labour Program completed within last 2 years
• Maternal Newborn Nursing Certificate complete or in progress (preferred)
