Job summary

Zohorecruit in Canada is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg New Grad Residency Program. This full-time, permanent position offers shifts across various medical and surgical units near the border.

New grads are welcome, including those with 4th year rotations or related experience in ER, ICU, or L&D. Responsibilities include planning and delivering nursing care, medications, team communication, patient records, and family counseling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or will complete within 3 years of employment.
• NCLEX.

• BLS.
• Advanced knowledge of EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides high quality nursing care to patients.
• Administer medications, provide and render treatment to patients.
• Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals.
• Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient.
• Consider the age of the patient and his or her emotional stability when determining appropriate treatment.
• Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed.
• Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their families.

WILL CONSIDER NEW GRADS-All Med Surg units and specialty units (ER, ICU, L&D etc) if candidate has had 4th year clinical rotation or other work experience in that unit.

Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities
