Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Ksyen Regional Hospital.

Provides and coordinates nursing care according to current standards of nursing practice and the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency/Ambulatory Care Nursing. Clinical experience to independently work in ICU and Emergency is required. Responsibilities include designated tasks on the Acute Care Unit as delegated by the Head Nurse or in-charge.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, Rotating

Ksyen Regional Hospital

The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. It features 82 beds, private rooms, and specializes in trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. The hospital is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

Terrace

The community of Terrace offers northern living at its best, with snow-capped mountains, pristine glacier-fed rivers, lakes, and streams. The main industries include communications, transportation, and natural resources. The population is approximately 12,700, with educational institutions like Northwest Community College and a UNBC campus. There is always something new to experience in Terrace.

Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN
  • Minimum two (2) years of medical/surgical experience and/or Post Diploma Certificate in Critical Care and/or Emergency Nursing or equivalent experience. Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care Training will need to enroll in a relevant course within 6 months.
  • CPR (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within 1 year
