Job summary

Kits Care Staff Solutions Ltd. in Sidney, BC is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care at Sidney Care Home. The role involves coordinating admissions, assessments, medications, and care plans.

You will use PointClickCare and eMAR, communicate with physicians and families, supervise HCAs, and participate in care conferences and medication reviews. If you are an RN with BC registration and LTC experience, join a modern, well-equipped facility with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active RN registration with BCCNM in good standing.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (eMAR, PointClickCare).
• Strong English communication, written and verbal.
• Experience in long-term care (preferred).
• COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Completing resident assessments and individualized care plans.
• Administering medications, treatments and wound care.
• Using PointClickCare and other electronic systems for documentation, including MDS assessments.
• Communicating with physicians, families and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers (HCAs).
• Assuming Charge Nurse duties and overseeing care delivery and teamwork.
• Participating in Care Conferences and Medication Reviews.

About Sidney Care Home

Sidney Care is located on Vancouver Island in sunny Sidney, BC and offers residential care to 54 clients. Sidney Care has been in operation for many years and provides a home like environment to its residents. The facility was recently renovated and is tastefully decorated.

Sidney Care works in collaboration with the Vancouver Island Health Authority, to ensure quality care to all of our clients.

What You’ll Do
