Job summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority invites applications for a Registered Nurse at Golden Links Lodge in Winnipeg.

You will coordinate the delivery of comprehensive, individualized care to residents, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care within an interdisciplinary team.

Requires graduate of an approved School of Nursing, current RN registration with the Manitoba College, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills; gerontology is an asset.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Certificate in Gerontology an asset.
• Experience: Current clinical experience in Medical nursing and/or Gerontology preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to function in a computerized environment (including MDS, MS Office, etc.)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Mental/physical health to meet the demands/stresses of the position.
• Ability to foster a positive work environment.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Able to meet the standard of nursing practice outlined in CRNM Scope of Practice and related acts.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice: Assessment – obtain nursing history and perform physical examinations.
• Planning – develop care plans with measurable outcomes.
• Implementing – coordinate care delivery and document observations.
• Evaluating – reassess and adjust care plans as needed.
• Resident management: maintain safety and quality of care through teamwork and leadership.
