Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Long term care center. Tasks: Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments . Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions. Conduct disease screening. Deliver health education programs. Provide nursing care. Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff. Perform administrative tasks. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: CPR Certificate.
