Role Description

Casual, contract-based role. As a NP at VirtuClinic, you will work remotely, independently, and as part of a virtual team. Your role is crucial in providing timely access to nursing services, conducting assessments, and delivering clinical excellence. Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with advanced education, knowledge, and experience, specializing in a range of health services. You will work in conjunction with healthcare providers and teams, managing patient care, diagnosing health problems, prescribing medications and other activities within the CRNA scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Complete advanced, thorough, and focused health assessments
• Diagnose health problems
• Support and counsel patients regarding health problems
• Manage and carry out patient care on an ongoing basis
• Manage complex chronic illness
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Research and critically evaluate evidence for the best care available
• Refer patients to other healthcare providers as needed
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions
• Advocate for the growth of VirtuClinic
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to patients
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Complete thorough documentation of each patient's visit in the clinical software application

Qualifications:

• Current resident of Alberta (required)
• FNP-AA designation and active licensure through CRNA
• Master's degree in Nursing
• Able to practice, and must currently live in Alberta
