Job summary

WRHN is seeking a Temporary Part Time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at WRHN Midtown & Chicopee locations. You will contribute to safe perioperative care and collaborate with the surgical team.

Requirements include current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, OR experience preferred, ability to handle high turnover, strong interpersonal skills, and physical stamina for standing and lifting. On-call readiness may be required.

To incorporate the knowledge and skills necessary to function within the job description of Registered Nurse - Operating Room. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment to patients, staff and visitors.

• Current registration and in good standings with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 2 years’ of Operating Room experience preferred
• Familiar with Operating Room Workload Measurement
• Familiar with standards, policies, procedures and physician protocols for the Operating Room
• Familiar with care of the perioperative patients of all ages
• Can meet physical demands of standing, lifting and being on call
• Ability to deal with physiologically/psychosocially stressed patients in an active, high turnover area
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills required to interact with patients, health professionals, other service providers and families essential Good attendance record required
