Job summary

WRHN in Waterloo region seeks a Temporary Unscheduled Part Time Registered Nurse (ONA) for Inpatient Surgery at WRHN Midtown, formerly Grand River Hospital KW Campus. The role requires current Ontario RN registration and surgical expertise across Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Gynecology. Contract ends June 17, 2027 with postings Sept 14–21, 2026.

Salary CAD 41.15–58.98 per hour. Responsibilities include direct patient care, evidence-based teaching, and collaboration with the care team to

• Current Registration and in good standing with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Successful completion of approved assessment course and approved communication/teaching course.
• Demonstrated surgical expertise in Orthopedics, General Surgery and Gynecology nursing.
• Manage patient care continuum for an episode of surgical care for all surgical patients.
• Develop and utilize research based teaching and resource material.
• Good attendance record.
