Job summary

St. Joseph's Health System (SJHS) in Hamilton is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Nephrology team.

The role involves patient-centred and evidence-informed care, collaborating with an inter-professional team to support patients with complex needs, high acuity, and variable outcomes. The successful candidate will be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario, have general medical/surgical nursing experience, and may be cross-trained to cover the Renal Transplant Unit.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
• Previous general medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Nephrology/ dialysis experience preferred.
• Central line management is an asset.
• Telemetry training preferred.
• Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in teaching/patient education.
