The RPN will apply College of Nurses of Ontario standards and work with the multidisciplinary team to support patients and families according to scope of practice. The successful candidate will hold a Practical Nursing Diploma with IV administration training, be registered in Ontario, and have a minimum of 8 months in a medical/surgical setting.

Position Summary: The Registered Practical Nurse is responsible for incorporating the College of Nurses of Ontario and unit specific standards and competencies into nursing practice and is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. The RPN is accountable individually for their decisions and actions. The RPN will seek consultation with the RN or Charge Nurse in client situations that are beyond their scope of practice. The Registered Practical Nurse provides care to clients who are individuals or groups of individuals including family members and significant others.
