Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse (N2) – Surgery to join our in-person team in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support surgical patients through pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full-time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)

Position Overview

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Experience

• Recent Surgical Nursing experience required.

** Nurses currently working on the Unit will be deemed qualified.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Current CRNM registration required.
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
• If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.
