Job summary

Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston is seeking two casual Registered Nurses for the Medicine/Medsurgical unit. You will provide patient- and family-centered nursing care as part of an interprofessional team in a fast-paced environment.

Holders of current RN registration with the CNO, BCLS, and ACLS or progress toward it within three months are preferred, with CC1/CC2 timing as indicated. Commitment to safety, equity, and continuous learning is expected.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BCLS.
• Current ACLS or commitment to complete within three (3) months of hire.
• CC1 and/or commitment to complete within six (6) months of hire.
• CC2 Preferred
• Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
• Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care in the Medicine unit.

Qualifications And Experience

Hours of Work

In order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. There is the expectation that you are available to work weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours). This is a new position. Resumes will be accepted until positions are filled.
