Job summary

Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario, is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Registered Nurse for the MACU. The role requires a current Ontario nursing license, NICU/Maternal Child experience, and neonatal resuscitation certification.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario from College of Nurses.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation is required.
• Current or within two years Maternal and Child experience required. Preference given to Paediatric/NICU experience.
• Current experience within the last two years working with mothers and well babies.
• Maternal Child Nursing Certificate Programs or related education in Breastfeeding/NRP may be considered.
• Perinatal Certificate Program or willing to complete.
• Demonstrated interest and knowledge in family centred maternity care.
• Demonstrated ability to function in emergency situations.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Clinical assessment and family/patient teaching skills.
• IV Therapy knowledge is required.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and availability.
• Experience supporting families with breastfeeding.
• Commitment to quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

Position Summary
