Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM.
• Completion of applicable post graduate course work or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and conducts assessments and nursing diagnoses; plans, implements and evaluates care.
• Collaborates with patients and families to develop and modify care plans with respect to patient rights and preferences.
• Coordinates care with the interprofessional team and facilitates discharge planning.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per Fraser Health procedures.
• Mentors new nursing staff and participates in ongoing education.
