Job summary

Fraser Health in British Columbia is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in acute inpatient areas, aligned with BCCNM standards and Fraser Health values.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborate with an interprofessional team, participate in discharge planning, and contribute to quality improvement while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package and four weeks of vacation in year one.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and health team.
• Ability to promote patient-centered care and cultural safety.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to plan and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with care team to develop and modify care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care, set priorities and delegate tasks.
• Teach patients and families about illness prevention and health maintenance.
• Document assessments and interventions as per standards.
• Participate in discharge planning and referrals.
