Job summary

Trillium Health Partners is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy outpatient clinic at Mississauga Hospital. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art facility with experienced gastroenterologists, surgeons and endoscopy nurses, delivering endoscopic care in a timely, safe, and patient-friendly manner.

Hours include days Mon-Fri with weekend shifts and on-call as required. Ontario RN licensure and two years Endoscopy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing.
• Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or eligible to register.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Two years Endoscopy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality endoscopy nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.
• Monitor patients post-conscious sedation and ensure safety protocols.
• Develop and deliver patient teaching materials and programs.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists, surgeons and other team members to deliver timely, safe care.

Job Description

The successful candidate will join an excellent team working in a fast paced outpatient surgical clinic. They will work in a state of the art facility equipped with the latest endoscopic, monitoring, and infection control equipment. The Clinic is staffed by experienced Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Respirologists, and endoscopy nurses. Our goal is to deliver expert endoscopic care in a timely, safe, and patient friendly manner.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing.
• Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred
• Successful completion of a physical assessment course
• Current membership with CSGNA preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years current Endoscopy experience required
• Experience assessing/monitoring patients post conscious sedation
• Experience developing/delivering patient teaching materials/programs
• Demonstrated knowledge of infection control guidelines/practices in an Endoscopy Clinic
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced outpatient setting
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
