Job summary

The New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP), known as the “hospital without walls,” coordinates the care of patients in homes and communities. As an EMP nurse, you will work with an integrated team to plan and deliver highly coordinated primary care.

You must be a registered nurse (or eligible) with CNNB, hold a nursing degree or diploma, have at least two years of recent specialized experience, a NB Class 5 license, and CPR Level C.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB).
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience.
• A valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
• Current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to work as part of a team with leadership and good judgment.
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

JOB SUMMARY

To holistically coordinate the care of each patient, incorporating the nursing profession's values of knowledge, theory and practice. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients and significant others in the delivery of care and collaborate with all members of the interdisciplinary team in this approach.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing;
• Currently registered and in good standing, or eligible for registration, with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick (CNNB);
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in the areas of family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology in a patient unit that requires daily collaboration with various health disciplines and family members as part of reaching patient goals;
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.
