Job summary

The New Brunswick Extra‑Mural Program (EMP) is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an integrated, multi‑disciplinary team delivering high‑quality care in patients' homes and communities across New Brunswick.

You will provide direct patient care within LPN scope, support families, and participate in coordinated primary health care with a focus on outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Active registration with ANBLPN.
• Three years recent medical/surgical, palliative care and wound care experience.
• Ability to work within a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Valid NB Driver's Licence and CPR Level C certification.

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the interdisciplinary EMP team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing quality patient care within the scope of professional LPN practice to patients and families throughout their life span.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses
• Active registration with ANBLPN;
• Minimum of three years recent medical/surgical, palliative care and wound care experience in an acute care setting;
• Demonstrated education and experience related to medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment;
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Support student placements initiatives;
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

Note: For any positions in the St. Stephen EMP unit, a valid Canadian passport or Nexus card will be required.
