Job summary

Shannex Incorporated in Riverview, NB seeks a Casual Registered Nurse (RN) for Parkland Riverview Monarch Hall to provide compassionate, safe, and professional care.

You will assess residents, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team, supervise staff, and help implement care plans while administering medications and treatments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and current registration in NB.
• Flexibility to work days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays.
• CPR/First Aid or BLS certification and clear background checks.
• Strong nursing knowledge with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate and direct residents’ care with medical team involvement.
• Provide leadership to health services staff and ensure individualized care plans.
• Promote communication and policy compliance within health services teams.
• Develop, implement and evaluate resident care plans and documentation.
• Administer and record prescribed medications per policy.
• Apply dressings/treatments as ordered and supervise care staff performance.

We are searching for a Casual (No Guaranteed Hours) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Parkland Riverview - Monarch Hall team based in Riverview, New Brunswick.

About The Opportunity

• Assessing, planning, evaluating, documenting and directing residents’ needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences and team members;
• Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing provision of quality health services respecting the client’s right to individualized planning of health services;
• Working with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures;
• Assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans;
• Administering and recording prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice;
• Applying dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy;
• Assisting with supervision and evaluation of job performance of care staff;

About You

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and are currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick;
• Availability to work a schedule of flexible hours and all shifts inclusive of days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Availability to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, available to work all shift types and days of the week;
• Ability to provide a CPR & First Aid or BLS Certificate, Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire;
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health care practices, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Previous supervisory and leadership experience considered a strong asset;
• Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
