Job summary

Mississippi River Health Alliance is seeking a registered nurse to provide quality nursing care to patients and families in the Outpatient Emergency Department. The role is a temporary assignment running from January 12, 2026 to May 20, 2026.

The incumbent must hold a Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and an ACLS certificate (or be willing to obtain it). Two years of acute care experience and triage training are preferred, with strong documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Currently certified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• ACLS certification or willingness to attain at own expense.
• Minimum of two years acute care experience in an active treatment setting.
• Emergency course or ENC.
• Triage training or willingness to obtain.
• Commitment to continuing education.
• Knowledge of the Nursing Process and the Standards of Nursing Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently at times without supervision.
• Good assessment, judgement, decision-making and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coronary care certificate.
• Previous experience in an Emergency Department.
