Job summary

Fairmont Banff Springs is seeking a Registered Massage Therapist to deliver luxurious spa experiences in a high-end alpine setting in Canada. You will provide 30- to 120-minute massages with exceptional guest care, while maintaining a pristine treatment room and upholding professional licenses and safety protocols.

Starting at a competitive hourly rate with tenure-based increases, the role emphasizes guest satisfaction, teamwork, and ongoing professional training within our spa program.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited 2200-hour massage program.
• Registered in Alberta prior to starting employment.
• Previous spa experience preferred.
• Ability to focus on guest needs with a calm, courteous demeanor.
• Able to stand/walk for long shifts and lift 20+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform 30-, 45-, 60-, 90- and 120-minute massages and body treatments.
• Provide individualized guest service and anticipate needs.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment room and ensure equipment is safe.
• Maintain supplies such as towels and sheets in orderly fashion.
• Maintain current licenses, CPR and First Aid.
• Participate in in-house training and extend homecare including retail guidance.

Starting Rate: $26.72 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $27.72

Compensation reflects $70+ per hour while massage and body services are being performed.

Job Duties Include:
Reporting to the Spa Treatment Manager,responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform all 30-, 45-, 60-, 90- and 120-minute massage and body treatments, as certified/trained to do.
• Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to needs and expectations.
• Always maintain clean and neat work environment, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.
• Ensure ample supply of products, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the treatment room
• Maintain current professional licenses, CPR, First Aid.
• Participate in in-house training opportunities in our professional product lines and extend homecare including retail suggestions to our clientele

Qualifications

Your Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited 2200-hour massage program
• Registered within province of Alberta prior to beginning employment
• Previous experience in a Spa preferred
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Constant standing/walking throughout shift and must be able to lift and carry 20+ lbs
