• Graduate of University Kinesiology degree program.
• Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO).
• 1-2+ years’ experience in occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset.

Position Title: Registered Kinesiologist

Location: Lifemark Physiotherapy Pine Valley, 4500 Highway 7, Suite 100, Woodbridge

Status: Part time

Lifemark is seeking a full-time Kinesiologist in Woodbridge. This full-time position provides access to health & dental benefits and a continuing education allowance!

The successful candidate will have experience implementing work hardening programs within an occupational rehabilitation setting, and will also have experience within an interdisciplinary team working to collaboratively achieve treatment goals. In this role you will:

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Be a vital team member communicating and working alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists and a psychotherapist for a truly interdisciplinary team experience
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Qualifications:

• Graduate of University Kinesiology degree program
• Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO)
• 1-2+ years’ experience supporting occupational rehabilitation programs is a strong asset
