Lifemark Health Group is seeking a Registered Kinesiologist to enhance the health of Canadians through movement. The role involves working with Veterans, designing rehabilitation programs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals. Candidates should have a degree in Kinesiology and be registered with COKO, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Lifemark is passionate about enriching the health of Canadians through movement. While physiotherapy remains a core service, kinesiology is integral in promoting our clients’ healing and improving recovery time. We believe when you move better, you feel better. This philosophy drives us, and we are seeking a Registered Kinesiologist who shares this vision.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in the kinesiology field. Experience working with Veterans, implementing work hardening programs within an occupational rehabilitation setting, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create treatment goals are strong assets.
The intent of our Rehabilitation Program is to provide effective Veteran-centered care that responds to the medical, psycho-social, and vocational rehabilitation needs of eligible Canadian Forces Veterans. The goal is to reduce barriers related to the participant’s health issues and to assist in adjusting to life at home, in the community, or at work. The rehabilitation plan is short-term and goal-focused to restore function as much as possible.
In November 2022, we will launch a new partnership with Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), the national contractor for medical, psycho-social, and vocational rehabilitation services. This partnership offers a more consistent, holistic, and integrated approach to care, enhancing experiences for both providers and participants. The model aims to align functional goals among providers and standardize treatment outcomes to support rehabilitation success.
We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. Lifemark promotes equal employment opportunities for all applicants, including those identifying as Indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, women, and visible minorities.
