About the Opportunity

Mediflex Talent Solutions is proud to partner with the Integrated Health Centre (IHC) in Brampton, a collaborative and patient-focused organization advancing holistic wellness and evidence-based care. We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join their interprofessional team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). Reporting directly to the Medical Director, the RD will provide individualized and group-based nutrition care, deliver health promotion initiatives, and contribute to learner education consistent with the School of Medicine's commitment to academic excellence and health equity. This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about preventive health, chronic disease management, and contributing to a dynamic, team-based clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nutrition Care
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, collecting medical, dietary, and psychosocial information to identify nutrition-related concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across the lifespan.
  • Provide nutrition counseling to patients with conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and weight management.
  • Monitor patient progress, document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Deliver culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, ensuring inclusivity for diverse populations.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
Program Support and Health Promotion
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate group education sessions and community workshops on healthy eating, disease prevention, and food security.
  • Support the development and integration of nutrition-focused resources and tools within clinical and community programs.
  • Refer patients to external supports such as public health programs, community food organizations, and social services where appropriate.
Academic and Interprofessional Collaboration
  • Supervise and mentor learners from nutrition or health sciences programs during placements or practicums.
  • Participate in interprofessional team rounds, clinical discussions, and Integrated Practice Education (IPE) initiatives.
  • Develop educational materials and teaching tools that align with the School of Medicine's academic mission.
Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO) regulations, IHC protocols, and privacy legislation (PHIPA).
  • Engage in continuing education, workshops, and professional development to maintain current, evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in quality assurance, clinical audits, and risk management activities to uphold patient safety and service excellence.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent (Master’s degree an asset).
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO).
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical or community-based nutrition experience, ideally within primary care or communityli>
  • Experience working with diverse populations and managing chronic diseases is preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMRs and digital health tools for documentation and care coordination.
  • Knowledge of public health nutrition, social determinants of health, and health promotion strategies.
  • Strong communication, counseling, and motivational interviewing skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills to balance clinical and programmatic priorities.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office and clinical environment within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
