Uptown Dentistry in Saint John’s Market Square is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, and take X-rays. You’ll maintain patient comfort and workflow while updating charts and upholding IPAC standards.

The role supports scheduling and administrative tasks in a modern, tech-enabled practice. Registered or licensed Dental Assistants are required, with prior dental assisting experience preferred.

Formación

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
